RUTH's myspace has been updated with new photos, a new layout and some cool things about Anorak.

You can even pre-order Anorak!
The first single from Anorak will be "Back to the Five" and will be available on iTunes October 7th.

This fall, the guys will be going out on tour with Decemberadio and Sevenglory. Those dates will be up soon, so be ready! Also, Anorak's release date is still October 28th, so tell everyone you know about Ruth's new cd! Soon on Ruth's myspace, they will have some songs off the album and the artwork! New blog entry! All about Europe and it's expensive-ness. Needless to say, this is a pretty awesome blog entry full of great photos!!
Also, the other day I was informed about an article written about the upcoming release!

Ruth's sophomore album has apparently been moved up to October 28th from it's original November 11th release date.. It has also been retitled Anorak (a person who has an unfathomable interest in something, and feels compelled to talk at length about it) and was produced by Aaron Sprinkle. They will be shooting a music video next month. Here's a look at the early tracklisting.

Exciting stuff posted in a bulletin this afternoon:

hello to anyone who might read this. Just wanted to let you all know that we have finished our next release. It is coming out Oct 28 2008 which is really soon. Hopefully someone wants a copy. I guess well see. But, most of all i wanted to let you know we are really proud and excited to put this next cd out. "hey friends its dustin with a studio update"

ok so its 230 am i went to bed at 130 and i cant sleep. i could say its because im super excited about the new record weve been recording but i have to add that i drank a giant coca cola at like 900 pm right before "the alaska experiment". Very good show by the way. Anywho, since im up really late and trying to get tired i thought i would let you all know that we have been in the studio for about 4 weeks all day everyday pretty much recording.

Im super happy with how things are coming out. i should be sleeping because i have two songs to sing tomorrow and our deadline is friday but whatev. i cant help it. the caffeen. man i cant spell caffine and my computer keeps underlining it with the red squigglys. whatev, anyway maybe those songs will sound sleepy. it might work because one of them is all about being on the road in a van, and flying on airplanes and stuff and it can be really tiring.

well we have three more days with chris keene from surrogate and our wizard friend kelsey smith then its off to seattle for a couple songs with Aaron sprinkle.

what to expect? theres a lot of drums, some guitars and bass, and vocals. its really great. I believe the album will come out Nov 4th. but obviously well get some tracks up a lot sooner to give you a listen. hopefully you vote for us this election year. we could use the indie vote.

New Blog!!
Each year Tooth and Nail/BEC swoops into Nashville for GMA week and pull one of the hottest showcases in town. This year on April 22, 2008 at Rocketown we get to be apart of it...and will do the same.

Come on out and join us with some of our friends like Thousand Foot Krutch, The Becoming, Kutless, Run Kid Run, Capital Lights, Jaymes Reunion, Cory Crowder, The Glorious Unseen and plenty more bands will be playing.

The show starts at 7pm and doors are at 6pm. I would suggest you get tickets in advance as we typically sell this event out. You can grab tickets

"whats up guys, happy new years. just wanted to let everyone know we have some cool stuff in the mix for 08. there is a west coast tour in feb. we are headed out with The Afters. they're a pretty sweet band you should check them out. we also are headed into the studio for a NEW RECORD in May and June. its going to be a fantastic time. last but not least if you got some i-tunes gift cards for christmas and are wondering what to buy our record is still 5.99 throught the new year on i-tunes, dont know how long that deal will last but you cant beat it. or if grandma gave you some cash and you want the artwork and all you can get it for 8.99 at best buy still. hope you all have a sweet new years eve and be careful

So, Ruth's interview last night on Total Axxess was quite amusing; from the game they played to their version of the Circle Bunny Song.
They also played an acoustic version of You Are.

Aside from calling in to request "You Are," Air 1 has a listener feedback poll where you can rate songs on their current rotation. This is more than just a contest to involve the audience, they really do use these as research and the results have a significant effect on radio play.

So please, go here to sign up for Air 1's survey- "You Are" is on the current survey, and every vote they can get is great! They do not list band's names so just look for the song title.
